Performance Low Starch Muesli

Low Starch Muesli is a supplementary feed with an extra low (6%) starch and (5%) sugar content, with added living yeast to balance your horse’s digestive system. The energy is provided primarily by an extra high proportion of fiber and fat. The feed has a high protein content and added minerals to more easily balance the overall ration even in small feeds.

Always give your horse access to forage before feeding it concentrate feed and try to spread its concentrate feeds evenly throughout the day.

ACTIVE LIVE YEAST – LEVUCELL®SC

Levucell is an active live yeast which is active in the large intestine of the horse. There it works to increase the digestibility of the feed and thereby also increase the availability of nutrients. The active live yeast helps to break down fibers and contributes to a more stable flora of the large intestine, which can have a positive effect on problems like diarrhea. Levucell SC consists of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-1077, which has both a probiotic effect – that is, increasing the amount of important microorganisms in the colon and a prebiotic effect – that is, contributing to a good environment in the large intestine to benefit the survival of the good microorganisms.

Feeding guide:

A suitable feed should be based on the nutritional value of the forage, the amount of work the horse does and whether it is pregnant, lactating or growing. A target value for an adult horse in light work is approximately 0.2-0.4kg of concentrates per 100kg of horse, and at least 1.5kg of dry forage per 100kg of horse.

It may be necessary to supplement a low concentrate feed with extra mineral feed. Spread the concentrates over several feeds per day for the best results. Always give forage before concentrates.
